Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer at Owens Corning Fort Smith facility responsible for safety, process optimization, and training and development to drive continuous improvement and target achievement. Leads safety initiatives, serves as subject matter expert on product characteristics to ensure quality, develops and implements procedures to meet customer expectations, supports trials and technology transfer, coordinates with upstream/downstream processes, participates in TPM/Kaizen/5S events, performs root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions, analyzes data to optimize performance, and develops talent through education and team engagement to improve safety, quality, cost, and productivity across the plant.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline and 2 or more years technical experience in a Manufacturing Environment or 5+ year’s progressive technical experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Eligible for work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. This positions is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship
- Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
