Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer at Nailor Industries, Inc. on the Continuous Improvement team. You will evaluate and improve process flow, equipment layouts, and space utilization; apply data-driven methods to improve quality, reduce costs, and shorten lead times; design tooling, jigs, and fixtures; support capital equipment justifications; monitor daily production activities; develop and maintain plant layouts with AutoCAD; collaborate with Design Engineering to transition new products into manufacturing; train production teams on new equipment and processes; create work instructions to improve quality and training; lead cost-reduction initiatives; ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration with purchasing, warehousing, and external partners; manufacturing experience and understanding of Lean and 5S principles are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field preferred or equivalent hands-on experience
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, or related engineering role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Experience using AutoCAD or equivalent drafting software
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
