Job Summary
Design and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness while developing new production methods, equipment, and tooling. Conduct root cause analysis to implement corrective actions for production issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product manufacturability and quality. Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and specifications, while evaluating new technologies and materials to improve capabilities. Monitor key performance indicators to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and CAD software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement and optimization
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, with demonstrated experience in their application
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing and analyzing manufacturing layouts and tooling
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM)
