Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer to drive machine uptime, process and product improvements, and quality control at the Cartersville, GA plant. Responsibilities include creating standard work, engineering support for plant operations, developing manufacturing drawings and go/no-go gauges, reducing downtime, scheduling contractors/OEMs for repairs, and interfacing with product engineering for new initiatives. Must support continuous improvement initiatives, maintain product routings, and ensure safety and quality compliance. Requires 1-3 years engineering experience, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field, proficiency with Inventor/AutoCAD, and ERP experience (JD Edwards preferred). Effective communicator with problem-solving skills and a track record of engineering contributions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Within 12 months, expected to contribute to capital spend projects and asset uptime alignment with Atkore’s strategy.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in Engineering
- Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field strongly preferred)
- Aptitude in Inventor and AutoCAD
- JD Edwards or other ERP system experience preferred
- Self-motivated with proven track record
- Detail oriented
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with safety and quality standards
