Job Summary

Plan, purchase, and install equipment and machinery while leading value stream improvements through robotics and automation. Conduct design of experiments to validate theories regarding process improvements, equipment performance, and quality enhancements. Act as an engineering resource for technical and maintenance personnel, consulting on tooling performance, scrap rates, and process issues to improve machine efficiency. Create and modify tooling and process drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, while reviewing and updating routing standards. Analyze workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow to design equipment layouts for maximum efficiency. Estimate production times, staffing needs, and costs to support management decisions. Confer with vendors to determine specifications and arrange equipment, material, and parts purchases. Adhere to 5S standards and all safety, environmental, and quality policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 to 5 years of experience
  • Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
  • Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Perform work under direct supervision
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
