Job Summary
Develop and maintain robust manufacturing processes while leading the lean transformation across the organization. Execute the strategic plan by supporting plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals through tooling layout, design, and implementation to production. Lead continuous improvement efforts including Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste and reduce process variations. Collaborate with the production team on troubleshooting, factory layout, and new product tooling processes. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs by analyzing information and developing action plans. Manage projects to ensure successful, timely completion within budget while communicating progress status. Determine root causes and corrective actions for discrepant products or materials. This role supports ADDMAN Engineering's manufacturing operations in Glen Burnie, MD, requiring adherence to ITAR regulations and federal, state, and local standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of four (4) years of Engineering experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in CNC[DW1] [KC2] machining environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future
- Experience with manufacturing or process design of machined and fabricated components from raw material
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Experience with CAD and CAM software
- U.S. citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of four (4) years' experience in a manufacturing environment implementing Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles
- Minimum of four [DW1] [KC2] (4) years of experience in CNC programming for milling and turning
- Minimum of one (1) year Project Management experience
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt
- Experience auditing and improving manufacturing processes
- Experience with 5-axis CAM programming
