Job Summary

Lead the implementation of Summit Lean Manufacturing System (SLMS) across the facility by conducting routine audits, driving kaizen activities, and developing standardized work tools to improve process balance and reduce costs. Teach SLMS principles to all plant employees in both classroom and shop floor environments while leading independent projects and managing plant floor layouts. Identify and eliminate waste throughout the plant operations, applying problem-solving methodologies to optimize material and information flow. This hands-on leadership role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to coach staff from operators to management. Occasional travel to other SPI plants is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Engineering or related degree
  • 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coach all levels from plant floor operators to plant management
  • Microsoft office products including (excel, word)
  • A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (26 on the Cognitive section)
  • Less than 5% travel
