Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer L1 focused on supporting continuous improvement and day-to-day manufacturing operations; responsibilities include maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting manufacturing equipment, tooling, and automation to maximize uptime and OEE; leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, DOE; conducting root cause investigations for production issues and implementing corrective actions; designing and implementing manufacturing tools, fixtures, automation systems, and process improvements with ROI analysis; collecting and interpreting manufacturing data to drive process optimization; supporting qualification and validation of processes, equipment, materials, suppliers, and new product introductions; collaborating with Production, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and external suppliers; developing engineering documentation (SOPs, work instructions, process specifications, validation protocols) and supporting supplier qualification and training of operators; promoting 6S and standard work practices; preparing production materials and supporting engineering trials and process development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment; inclusive of qualifying internships
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles
- Experience with SolidWorks/AutoCAD
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma (a plus)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Effective communication and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
