Job Summary
Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work cells, tooling, fixtures, and equipment to enhance safety, quality, and productivity. Provide hands-on engineering support to production teams by troubleshooting issues and implementing process improvements. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and data-driven problem solving. Support new product introductions by developing, validating, and optimizing manufacturing processes. Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, routings, engineering drawings, and process procedures. Design and modify tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids using SolidWorks or similar CAD software. Support equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and reliability improvement projects. Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve operational performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
- 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within a production environment
- Experience with process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience supporting new product introductions, process development, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing documentation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, and operations teams
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
- equivalent manufacturing engineering experience
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software preferred
- Experience supporting ISO 9001 manufacturing environments
- ERP systems (SAP preferred)
