Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer role at JTEKT Column Systems North America involves managing engineering projects, including building layouts, tool acquisition, and machine modifications. Responsibilities include developing specifications, purchasing tools and equipment, resolving production floor issues, and supporting manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and strong problem-solving skills. Experience with GD&T and CAD software like Draftsight or SolidWorks is also preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BS in engineering or equivalent work experience, with MS degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in metal removal, CNC programming, welding, metal forming, or assembly preferred.
- Working knowledge of GD&T, work cells, single piece flow and J.I.T.
- Must have excellent problem-solving abilities.
Desired Qualifications
- Results-oriented, with leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Draftsight/SolidWorks CAD experience a plus.
