Job Summary
Develop and improve manufacturing methods by creating work instructions, analyzing workforce utilization, and designing equipment layouts for maximum efficiency. Lead change management, continuous improvement projects, and standardization efforts while applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools across the facility. Confers with vendors on product specifications and equipment procurement, manages offshore simulation teams, and identifies new technologies for Capex justification. Apply statistical methods to forecast requirements and collaborate with management on production schedules. Mentors junior engineers and drives process standardization with metrics and best practices. Requires a mechanical engineering degree and five years of manufacturing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in mechanical engineering
- five years related experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing & assembly environment
- Demonstrated process improvement projects and outcomes
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Teamwork skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Good information technology skills
- Commercial awareness
