Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer to lead the Automation group and support production. Responsibilities include ensuring automation machines are in good condition, performing general machine maintenance and repairs, training technicians/operators for routine maintenance and cleaning, evaluating part lifetimes and preparing spare parts lists, issuing technical parameters for new products, resolving technical problems on the automation production line, maintaining production records, calculating machine capacity with industrial/manufacturing engineers to help schedule production, leading technicians in the automation group, providing automation proposals to support workcell production, and offering technician support to quality and purchasing departments. Requires a Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Automation/Electronics engineering (or related) and 2-4 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Automation/Electronics engineering or related field
- Plus 2-4 years’ experience in relevant engineering roles
- Experience leading automation groups and supporting production
- Ability to train technicians/operators for routine maintenance and cleaning
- Ability to evaluate parts life and prepare spare parts purchasing
- Ability to issue technical parameters for new products
- Ability to resolve technical problems on automation production lines
- Ability to lead technicians and report machine status
- Ability to provide automation proposals to support workcells’ production
- Ability to support quality and purchasing departments as needed
