Job Summary
Lead manufacturing engineering projects from design through implementation, including equipment installation, process redesign, and tooling development. Design and document manufacturing processes, standards, and automation solutions while managing timelines and coordinating with internal departments and external suppliers. Drive improvements in safety, quality, cost, and efficiency by analyzing production data and implementing sustainable corrective actions. Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, IT, and operations teams to execute process blueprinting, system enablement, and change management initiatives. Mentor junior engineers and foster continuous improvement within the quality function. Serve as a subject matter expert in tooling, PLC programming, and electronics manufacturing to ensure safe, scalable operations.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 Years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
- Great problem-solving skills
- A great understanding of various manufacturing technologies and methods, preferably within the electronics manufacturing industry
- Good interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience
- Great communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation)
- Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the quality function
- Good organizational planning, coordinating internal and external resources, and juggling key demands
- Sound business sense and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed actions, solve complex problems, and drive learning
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, including the flexibility to work extended hours when necessary
- Great computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Power BI, or other similar systems
- Ability to use and analyze data
- Ability to partner with and communicate with customers, both technical and non-technical
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Ability to effectively communicate decisions effectively to production teams

- Ability to serve as the E2M subject matter expert for ERP, PLM, MES
- Ability to define role-based training needs
- Ability to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, and training materials
- Ability to define scope, scenarios, and acceptance criteria
- Ability to validate results
- Ability to manage defect prioritization
- Ability to provide formal business signoff
- Ability to support cutover, go-live, stabilization, and post-go-live adoption reinforcement

- Ability to apply knowledge of PLC and programming to support automation and technological integration
- Ability to manage equipment upgrades and replacements
- Ability to ensure that equipment meets performance, safety, and ergonomic standards
- Ability to drive interdepartmental collaboration to align engineering efforts with production, maintenance, product engineering, and quality objectives
- Ability to serve as a technical resource and liaison across teams
- Ability to coach and mentor junior engineers through informal learning sessions and project collaboration
- Ability to foster team development and knowledge sharing within the engineering group
- Ability to lead practical problem-solving (PPS) efforts to address safety, quality, and efficiency issues
- Ability to implement sustainable corrective actions
- Ability to communicate decisions effectively to production teams
- Ability to understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules
- Ability to lead end-to-end Engineering-to-Manufacturing process blueprinting
- Ability to define business process lead for Engineering-to-Manufacturing related change initiatives
- Ability to partner closely with Change Management and Training teams to assess business impacts and adoption risks
- Ability to define role-based training needs
- Ability to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, and training materials
- Ability to lead business-driven User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining scope, scenarios, and acceptance criteria
- Ability to validate results
- Ability to manage defect prioritization

- Ability to support cutover, go-live, stabilization, and post-go-live adoption reinforcement
- Ability to identify inefficiencies, risks, and breakdowns across engineering and manufacturing workflows

Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
