Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer III develops and refines manufacturing methods to build products safely to spec and at the right cost; improves work cells, creates and maintains process documentation, and plans labor, space, workflow, and equipment layouts to drive efficiency. Collaborates with planning and design on product design, tooling, and manufacturability, and works with vendors on specifications, purchasing, and quality conformance. Estimates cycle times and staffing needs, coordinates with supervisors and other manufacturing engineers on schedules and capacity, and uses statistical methods to forecast manufacturing requirements. Onsite in Oxnard on a Monday–Thursday schedule, with time on the floor reviewing performance and at a desk updating routers and process records; interfaces with design/planning to resolve manufacturability questions; engages with production leads to remove blockers; conducts vendor touchpoints to clarify specs and follow up on purchases; pulls data, runs basic statistical checks, and translates findings into recommendations supporting near-term decisions and longer-range capacity planning.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 5–8 years in a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical reading/writing and presentation skills
- Applied math/statistics
- Proficient in MS Office and Solidworks
