Job Summary
Lead process improvements in Assembly and Machine Shop production lines by owning specific manufacturing processes and driving daily management for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity, Cost, and Growth. Act as the primary owner for technical questions, troubleshoot equipment failures, and perform root cause analysis on quality issues using RCCM and 8D methodologies. Design and validate new tools, fixtures, and machines using SolidWorks, while establishing standard work, conducting Kaizen activities, and ensuring equipment preventative maintenance and calibration. Collaborate with the Quality Team on external customer returns and manage deviation requests to maximize product yield and throughput.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/ industrial engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing / Problem Solving tools
- Previous Experience with QS and ISO requirements
- High sense of urgency
- Results driven
- Strong understanding of quality systems and other process improvement tools
- Familiarity with various manufacturing equipment and processes (laser welding, transfer molding)
- Working knowledge of inspection and measurement tools (CMM, Caliper, Micrometer, Gages)
- Familiarity with documentation and process control creation
- Proficient in time and project management
- Ability to work in a cross functional environment
- Strong written, verbal and computer skills
