Job Summary

Program lathes using CAMWorks software and SolidWorks, establish machine speeds and feed rates, and create process sheets and tooling lists for boring and horizontal machining centers. Develop equipment, fixtures, and tooling to aid manufacturing while analyzing drawings to determine cut dimensions and configurations. Identify opportunities for process improvements, reduce costs, and enhance productivity, safety, and quality. Work closely with the engineering team and hourly operators to instruct on production methods, develop routing sequences, and manage new machine tool requisitions.

  • Onsite position in Milwaukee, WI
  • Participation in Operations safety program
  • Work with Technical Services for the development and implementation of manufacturing processes
  • Program lathes using CAMWorks software
  • Program lathes using SolidWorks
  • Establish machine speeds and feed rates
  • Configuration of cuts using vendor software unique to each machine tool
  • Experience with Fanuc machine controls
  • Experience with Siemens machine controls
  • Development of equipment, fixtures, and tooling
  • Technical support to analyze status of equipment and need for replacement equipment
  • Write CEAs
  • Evaluate vendor proposals
  • Make recommendations
  • Perform acceptance tests
  • Manage new machine tool requisitions
  • Ability to work on more than one project at a time
  • Requisition tools
  • Assist with routing operation sequence
  • Assist with PFMEA's
  • Assist with cost estimates
  • Develop, maintain, and document setup sheets
  • Participate in the development of production methods
  • Participate in the development of sequence of operations
  • Participate in the development of procedures
  • Work closely with hourly Operators
  • Instruct on routed production methods and procedures
  • Read and interpret product design drawings
  • Read and interpret specifications
  • Read and interpret quality standards
