Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer II responsible for engineering, implementing and supporting hydrogel/polymer manufacturing processes, driving technology transfer and process development, and enabling facility start-up and sustained commercial manufacturing. Key duties include leading transfer of hydrogel manufacturing processes, defining scalable GMP-compliant processes, supporting equipment qualification and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ, FAT/SAT), contributing to line/layout and facility readiness, developing documentation (SOPs, WIs, process instructions, validation reports), supporting MES/SAP/BOMs integration, and driving continuous improvement. The role requires cross-functional collaboration across Manufacturing, Quality, Process Development, Sterilisation, R&D, Warehouse, Facilities, Planning, Procurement, and Equipment Engineering, with 30%+ travel. Education: a bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or related discipline; 2–5+ years in related technical roles; experience in regulated manufacturing preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Hons bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or related technical discipline
- 2–5+ years’ experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, or a related technical role
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (desirable)
- Experience with equipment qualification and validation (desirable)
- Lean, 5S, continuous improvement (desirable)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel 30%+ of time
