Job Summary
Oversee engineering support activities for customer part and assembly production, planning and directing internal and external services to meet timelines and budgets. Ensure all manufacturing processes, including welding, heat treat, and NDT, conform to regulations while establishing process controls to maximize quality and cost-effectiveness. Investigate non-conformances and develop statistical systems like SPC to analyze data and continuously improve production effectiveness. Assist in responding to customer RFQs and work concurrently with sales, manufacturing, and quality teams to address technical needs. Develop and revise processes to enhance production effectiveness, supporting company safety policies and implementing new procedures with the Engineering Manager. Manage multiple projects and deadlines while providing work instructions for manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in the aerospace industry
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Proven track record of scheduling and organizational skills
- Proficient at reading, analyzing and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures, and standards
- Proficient with computer systems and basic software and Microsoft Office
- Experience with CAD
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization, including internal and external
- Must be able to manage multiple projects and manage established deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- preference in basic manufacturing operations, machining, forming, welding, brazing and/or heat treat
- Sheet metal forming experience with titanium, nickel and superalloys, both hot and cold
