Job Summary
Develop manufacturing processes by analyzing equipment layouts, workflows, and workforce utilization to maximize efficiency. Determine and design tooling, fixtures, and equipment needed to achieve production goals while ensuring product manufacturability with R&D. Confer with cross-functional staff to discuss specifications, assess manufacturability, and participate in design reviews. Evaluate tooling requirements, support design changes, and develop inspection criteria with Quality Control. Create and maintain methods of manufacturing, engineering change requests, and Bill of Materials within the ERP system. Support root cause analysis and coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues and implement technical requirements.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5-7 years working in a Manufacturing environment
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Self-motivated
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and training skills
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Demonstrated proficiency in Solid Works
- Open-minded and flexible, exhibits sensitivity, honesty and integrity
- General knowledge of weld, machining & overall manufacturing process & equipment
- Experience in working with military specifications and requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with interfacing with suppliers to support process development and cost reduction for new products
