Job Summary
Assign work to S&O operators and instruct them on proper gaging methods while assisting with grinding equipment setups and troubleshooting. Submit workorders for down equipment, manage vendor scheduling with maintenance, and perform first piece approvals per setup processes. Operate precision measuring equipment, maintain controlled setup cards, and collaborate with Engineering on new part setups, cycle reductions, and standard work procedures. Provide quality support to enhance business performance in cost, output, safety, and quality improvements. Adhere to AS9100 standards, export compliance, and safety programs.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree or equivalent related experience
- Grinding Knowledge/Experience
- Programming of CNC grinders and CNC Turn
- Approx. 10% Travel
- Personal Computer Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Proficient with the Internet
- Above average verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to get along with others
- Can effectively function in a matrix and team environment
- Regular attendance
- U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, U.S. permanent resident, individual granted asylum, or refugee) or qualification for a license to hold the position
