Job Summary

Collaborate on production tooling, fixture design, and machinery maintenance to maximize equipment efficiency and product throughput. Lead manufacturing projects for new product introductions while resolving shop floor problems using sound engineering concepts. Document and implement functional manufacturing processes, manage outside purchased items and associated costs, and ensure design revisions are properly communicated and followed. Communicate effectively between production and engineering teams to optimize needs while driving continuous process improvement. Requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with four years of experience, SolidWorks proficiency, and GD&T knowledge. Full-time role with on-call rotation available for shop floor support.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering
  • minimum of four (4) years of experience as a manufacturing engineer
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • experience in a similar industrial environment (equipment production, steel fabrication, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with production equipment
  • knowledge of equipment capabilities
  • Experience with low to medium volume tooling and fixture design
  • Experience with low to medium volume fixture implementation
  • Experience with low to medium volume fixture maintenance
  • Familiarity with inspection methods
  • solid troubleshooting skills
  • Significant experience with Computer Aided Design software
  • experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Prior experience in the development and documentation of various processes
  • Prior experience in the documentation of procedures
  • Prior experience in the documentation of standards
  • strong understanding of fixture fundamentals
  • GD&T principles
  • Computer skills to include MS Office
  • Computer skills to include Word
  • Computer skills to include Excel
  • Computer skills to include Access
  • Computer skills to include Visio
  • Experience working with ERP
  • Experience working with reporting programs
  • Must be able to see the big picture
