Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer I at Jabil in Mezzovico, Switzerland. Manage and maintain manufacturing master data within SAP and MES systems, support and improve MES processes (Industry 4.0), create/update MPI and MPD to ensure standardized production, contribute to PRM activities including pFMEA and risk mitigation, support Non-Conformances and CAPA with root-cause analysis, analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends and opportunities, perform engineering studies to optimize processes (process flow, time studies, capacity), drive continuous improvement through Lean and structured problem solving, provide daily production engineering support, assist with process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant manufacturing processes. Experience with NPI, process transfers, and system/data setup; ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, ISO 13485, and FDA; helps drive Quality, Productivity, and Cost reduction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Automation, Electrical or related)
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a regulated environment (medical device/pharma preferred)
- Experience or strong interest in master data management (SAP/MES environment)
- Familiarity with MPI/MPD, NC/CAPA processes, and pFMEA (risk management)
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma / proven experience is a plus
- Experience with ERP (e.g., SAP) and/or MES systems is a strong advantage
- Fluent in Italian and English; German is a plus
