Job Summary
Create router steps, CNC part programs, work instructions, and bills of materials for designed parts and assemblies. Conduct process validations, make adjustments, and complete PFMEAs while understanding tooling and fixturing requirements. Lead cross-functional cost improvement projects to reduce scrap, waste, or increase productivity by analyzing product costs and tracking progress. Diagnose manufacturing process or equipment issues, develop resolution plans, and implement solutions. Collaborate with R&D engineers on new product manufacturability, utilizing GD&T knowledge and CAD/CAM system expertise. Manage multiple projects and priorities to achieve objectives, supported by experience in CNC machining, metal finishing, and additive manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing engineering position in a machine shop environment
- Minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing engineering position in a machine shop environment
- Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing engineering position in a machine shop environment
- CNC Programming knowledge
- Experience with CNC machining
- Experience with manual machining
- Experience with metal finishing/grinding and assembly
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAM systems
- Familiarity with 3D models
- Broad background and knowledge of many manufacturing processes
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Additive Manufacturing (3D printing)
- Experience with production automation
