Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer I role supporting pilot production in a regulated medical device environment. Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Operations to qualify processes and equipment, drive continuous improvement, and enable scalable manufacturing before full commercialization. Develop basic experiments and tests, write and execute protocols, analyze results, and prepare reports. Address basic Manufacturing and Compliance issues (CAPA, non-conformances, audit observations); develop training and work instructions for production to enable knowledge transfer. Establish project plans using project management tools, identify opportunities to redesign or improve equipment, tools, and fixtures; oversee manufacturing support tasks, train technicians, and coordinate their work. Requires collaboration with team members and adherence to environmental health, safety, and quality guidelines. For California, base pay range is $69,000 to $98,000; total compensation will reflect qualifications and experience.
