Job Summary
Drive multi-disciplinary groups including Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality to meet critical milestone deadlines while systematically delivering tasks to the predetermined program timeline. Create and maintain detailed schedules, document open issues with owners and dates, and review these with leadership to ensure closure. Manage the design review process, production preparation, and production trials. Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed protective equipment. This on-site role in Salina, KS, requires Monday through Thursday hours from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from four-year college or university; or minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Functional discipline or operational experience in a manufacturing setting
- Must have solid problem-solving skills
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship (including H-1B or candidates who will require sponsorship after OPT)
- Must be able to work on-site in Salina, KS
- Must be available Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Must follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Overall understanding of manufacturing timelines; project management experience is a plus
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with Fabrication, Weld, Paint and Assembly production processes is helpful
