Job Summary
Design machine specifications, select components, and produce schematic and layout drawings for equipment installation, modification, and commissioning. Conduct feasibility analyses to assess solutions against cost, timeline, and risk criteria while integrating designs with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability. Manage change requests and adhere to established procedures including risk analyses, FMEA, and design reviews. Coordinate tasks spanning early design through late design, fabrication, and ramp-up assistance. Travel as required to support global projects.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 3 years of experience in an engineering role working with manufacturing equipment and processes
- Experience with 3D design using Solidworks
- Experience with mechanical design standards; ASME, ANSI, ISO, etc.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, piping and fitting
- Experience with lifting devices, cranes, jibs, below the hook devices and end-effectors
- The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group setting, including essential technical guidance to support Senior Management
- The ability to work independently, and to lead, coach and mentor others
- Travel as required
