Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining assembly methods for heavy duty gas turbine components. Develop, document, and maintain assembly methods, SOPs, process flow, and manufacturing process plans. Define tooling, fixtures, jigs, and equipment requirements to support safe and efficient assembly. Own Make vs Buy processes for BOMs and MBOMs. Lead or support continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost; troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with design engineering for manufacturability improvements, partner with quality for non-conformances and root cause analysis, and support lean initiatives (5S, standard work, visual management, waste reduction). Participate in risk assessments, FMEA, and control plan development; provide technical support and training to production teams on methods and process changes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly engineering, methods engineering, or industrial engineering in a heavy industrial
- Knowledge of tooling, work instruction development, and manufacturing documentation
- Familiarity with root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
