Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer to lead process improvements, troubleshooting, and system optimization for generator testing across units ranging from 35kW to 850kW; responsibilities include developing and managing manufacturing and test cell engineering projects, troubleshooting day-to-day process problems with testing equipment and generators, designing testing processes aligned with takt time, leading continuous improvement initiatives (including PFMEA, PFMEA, and ISO-related activities), coordinating tool design reviews and capital projects, analyzing engineering change notices, coordinating with internal and external suppliers on capital projects, supporting NPI to ensure manufacturability, and adhering to standards related to quality, cost, safety, and ergonomics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (implied by role)
- experience with manufacturing engineering in an industrial setting
- familiarity with Lean, PFMEA, and ISO requirements
- experience leading capital projects and working with suppliers
- ability to perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- experience with testing of electrical and mechanical systems
- ability to analyze and improve manufacturing processes
