Manufacturing Engineer for New Products

Job Summary

Lead and coordinate new product launches from prototype builds through full-volume production while serving as the technical focal point during manufacturing readiness activities. Develop and execute NPI project plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful product launches. Support process validation activities for new PCB assemblies and electronic product samples. Identify and implement opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs, improve efficiency, and optimize product designs for manufacturability. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and project status updates for management review. Actively participate in operational and quality meetings, including KPI reviews, MRVA, operations reviews, and customer escalations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Program Management to resolve manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions. Conduct root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and PFMEA.

Required Qualifications

  • Completed bachelor's degree
  • Advanced English communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within the electronics manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of PCB assembly processes, SMT, wave soldering, selective soldering, and electronic manufacturing technologies
  • Experience implementing and managing electronic and mechanical engineering changes (ECO/ECN)
  • Proven experience launching products from prototype builds to mass production
  • Knowledge of process validation methodologies
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA
  • Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610)
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action systems (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, CAPA)
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing data and drive yield, quality, and productivity improvements
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Understanding of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949
  • Experience supporting customer audits, process audits, and product qualification activities
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
