Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer for fluid systems leading the design, development, and manufacture of tubing systems for the Haven-1 program. Responsibilities include conceptualizing and building tube bending and welding cells, leading first-build and test efforts, creating detailed manufacturing plans, procedures, and work instructions, performing root-cause analysis to resolve manufacturing challenges, collaborating with design, integration, production, and vendors, and developing tooling solutions to increase throughput while maintaining high quality. The role emphasizes hands-on participation in bent tubes, orbital welding, and related processes, with a focus on continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional teamwork in a high-demand aerospace environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field
- 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience (internships and extracurricular engineering experience acceptable)
- Hands-on experience in one or more: tube bending, orbital tube welding (OTW), TIG welding, precision cleaning, tooling design, fluid systems design, or pressure testing
