Job Summary

Develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications. Coordinate manufacturing launches for new or existing products by bridging research, development, management, production, sales, and quality teams. Design tooling and fixture solutions using CAD systems to support production needs while optimizing machine improvements. Partner with plant operations to analyze performance data, identify technology gaps, and execute efficiency projects aligned with business objectives. Provide technical support for process simulation, risk analysis, and asset utilization management. Uphold the Thermal Spray Technologies Quality System and Safety protocols throughout all duties.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or other related field
  • 3 - 5 years of experience
  • Design and drafting experience
  • SolidWorks
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and GD&T
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including earplugs, safety glasses, and a respirator

Desired Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced user of CAD/CAM software
  • Seasoned knowledge of manufacturing requirements and demonstrated ability to incorporate those requirements into product processing/design
  • Possesses solid technical ability in one or more associated technologies including but not limited to milling, grinding, turning, machine automation, robotics, heat treat, material science, or welding operations
  • Solid working knowledge of material properties and characteristics
  • Possesses excellent computer, math, and problem-solving skills
  • Positively works and communicates with all associates (one-on-one and in group settings) throughout the organization, even when faced with challenging situations or opposing viewpoints
  • Possesses strong project management skills
  • Understands Lean, Six Sigma, 6S concepts and application of those concepts
  • Possesses strong internal drive for results, is a self-starter and able to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex processes
