Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer sought to join ETE REMAN’s engineering group to collaborate with engineering and operations to improve and expand the production system, targeting improvements in safety, quality, labor, and costs. Responsibilities include mapping plant production capacity (time study data collection and distribution to operations), providing technical guidance for manufacturing process and product design problems, designing manufacturing flow lines and workstation layouts to optimize efficiency and costs, generating work instructions and standardized work, collaborating with quality engineering on root cause analysis, improving manufacturing efficiency through workflow and layout optimization, integrating new tools and equipment to improve processes, upholding manufacturing standards, and partnering with on-site EHS to ensure OSHA compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical, or manufacturing preferred)
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment
- Must demonstrate superior communication and organizational skills
- Background working on the shop floor with operations staff to assist in solving issues
- Understanding of operational theory of automatic transmissions
- Experience with assembly of complex hydraulic/mechanical assemblies
- Proven experience in tracking and understanding manufacturing operations and implementing solutions to drive continuous improvement
- Functional in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Excel, Power-point, and other related programs
- Must possess solid mechanical troubleshooting abilities
- Must demonstrate good oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills with the ability to multi-task
- Must be extremely flexible regarding priority changes
- Fluency in English; Spanish preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures and/or safety manuals
- Self-starter; able to work with minimal supervision
