Job Summary

Coordinate as the primary point of contact for programs by developing detailed recovery plans, reviewing contract and design requirements for quality notifications, and tracking project schedules. Maintain contract performance metrics with the Unit Manager while interfacing with Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to manage component design changes. Support new work quotes by reviewing technical requirements and preparing person-hour estimates, alongside performing special assignments as needed. This entry-level role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a DOE security clearance, and the ability to train on the first shift for up to six months.

Required Qualifications

  • BQ – Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Nuclear or Manufacturing Engineering Technology; or Physics
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance
  • Ability to train on first shift for up to 6 months
  • Demonstrated professional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • All candidates must be U.S. citizens
  • Selected applicants are required to successfully complete a pre-employment check and drug screening
  • The position may require the ability to obtain and maintain applicable federal eligibility requirements for access to classified/sensitive information or matter which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test, previous employment, and reference verifications
  • All BWXT new hires will be required to adhere to applicable Company health and safety requirements within the workplace as a condition of employment

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred Qualification 'PQ' – Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Civil Engineering
  • Prior experience providing engineering support in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Familiarity with SAP preferred
