Job Summary
Design, develop, and implement hollow metal and wood door shop drawings while interpreting architectural specifications and blueprints to create CAD-based drawings for client review. Research and analyze design proposals, specifications, and application regulations to ensure products meet building codes and customer requirements. Coordinate with clients, project managers, and internal teams to resolve issues, manage material releases to the production facility, and facilitate the exchange of project information. Identify causes of product process instability, recommend solutions, and assist with research and development of new products and processes. Maintain complete and current documentation, establish effective communication with area staff, and keep superiors informed of status and significant problems.
Required Qualifications
- knowledge of structural steel and miscellaneous metals
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings and contract specifications
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD preferred
