Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary
Plan end-to-end manufacturing processes including layout, flow, assembly methods, and cycle times. Calculate workspace requirements and design strategies to utilize floor space effectively. Troubleshoot production problems, implement corrective actions, and quantitatively improve product outputs using Lean tools, Six Sigma, and PFMEA. Design, develop, and cost-justify machinery, equipment, and fixtures while supporting new product design evaluations. Create documentation, perform equipment calibration, and develop training materials for facility employees. Investigate customer complaints and respond to corrective and preventive actions. Maintain current product knowledge through workshops and publications. Work in Port St Lucie, FL, reporting to the Operations Manager with a Bachelor's in engineering and three years in manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
- Must have a working knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality Management System
- A minimum of three (3) years working in a manufacturing environment
- Able to present data to senior management
- Experience in lean manufacturing is required
- Mastery of Word, Excel, and Solid Works
- Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Sense of urgency and self-motivation
- Able to work independently and in team environments
- Must be able to solve complex situations and be resourceful
- Must be able to teach and generate results while enhancing the Dometic work environment and supporting the Company philosophy
Desired Qualifications
- master's degree is a plus
- Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Software experience in C#, WPF, PHP a definite asset
- PLC experience in Productivity 3000 a plus
- SolidWorks, Altium Designer system experience is a bonus
- Certified LabView Developer designation or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exemplary standards of ethics, integrity, and accountability
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
