Job Summary
Design and develop manufacturing processes for new and sustaining products, collaborating with design engineers to transition concepts to full-scale production. Evaluate existing methods and materials to maximize process efficiency and quality, while actively seeking new equipment and material releases to improve productivity. Perform detailed engineering calculations to optimize manufacturing performance and conduct rigorous reviews of test setups to validate design specifications. Create and maintain technical documentation using CAD, and apply problem-solving skills to identify improvements in designs or processes that enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This onsite role in Bohemia, NY requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with 3+ years of experience and involves occasional travel to Mexico.
Required Qualifications
- U.S Person or a person who can qualify for a Department of State or Department of Commerce License
- Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- 3+ years of related experience
- Working Knowledge of Military Specifications
- Must be able to remain stationary during design and analysis sessions
- Must have good manual dexterity and basic soldering / assembly skills to assist in building test and assembly fixtures
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds of testing or prototyping equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Military/Aerospace industry a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
