Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer in Santa Clarita, CA responsible for analysis, design and assembly-related manufacturing/industrial engineering tasks for defense applications. Lead and support continuous improvement projects, develop and maintain manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes for sub-assemblies and final assemblies; coordinate with design engineering on new product releases; estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and recommend tooling/processing requirements; create manufacturing standard procedures and work instructions; support NPI/DFM, MR reviews, and production readiness activities; review engineering changes and act as technical liaison with program management, finance, design, quality, procurement, inspection, and production; train staff on new processes and technologies; explore new technologies for operation improvements and contribute to RFQ/RFP BOE support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing/industrial engineering
- 2 to 4 years’ manufacturing/industrial engineering experience
- Ability to read and understand drawings, electrical schematics, specification, and MS Office suite or products
- Knowledge of electronic and mechanical assembly principles
- Experience in electronics manufacturing and Integration and Test work environment
