Job Summary

Implement identified changes to manufacturing processes, techniques, and fixtures to eliminate rework and improve production efficiency. Assess production constraints, determine best practices for operator productivity, and establish the Lean Manufacturing program while eliminating waste. Collaborate with Production Engineering to solve quality issues, prepare manufacturing plans, BOMs, and standard times, and coordinate route sequence changes with Engineering and Quality Control. Apply statistical methods to estimate requirements and prepare product reports, while training technicians on design and development projects. Adhere to all safety policies and work overtime as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or related technical field
  • 1-2 years or relevant work experience in manufacturing environment
  • Preference to Investment Casting Experience
  • High level of mechanical aptitude
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge
  • Systematic problem solving or Root Cause Analysis experience
  • Able to take action in solving problems with exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues
  • Able to complete projects by facilitating effective team work and empowering employees to understand, own, and control the process
  • Ability to work overtime
  • May be required to travel to other Turbine Technologies sites, as needed
  • Safety Glasses: Needed in all areas of the plant
  • Steel toed shoes: Needed in all areas of the plant
  • Proof of U.S. person status (U.S. citizens, permanent residents and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act)
  • Satisfactory results of a drug & background screen

  • Ability to ensure all processes are accurately defined and maintained
  • Ability to contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Responsibility for adherence to all safety policies, practices and procedures
