Job Summary

Maintain, test, calibrate, and repair production and prototype equipment while documenting results and reporting failures through the NCE process. Fabricate cables, PCBAs, and fixtures; create and revise procedures, bills of materials, drawings, and engineering change orders. Supervise the Manufacturing Engineering Lab and mentor technicians on troubleshooting, testing instruments, and building test fixtures. Execute verification protocols, perform failure analysis investigations, and participate in the Material Review Board for component disposition. Identify and implement process improvements to support quality, safety, and productivity goals. Work overtime as needed to support production schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Ability to accurately complete assembly and test records to meet regulatory requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
  • Ability to perform complex testing operations and operate, maintain, and troubleshoot test equipment
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and software systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to mentor, train, and support other employees
  • Associate's degree or technical certificate in Electronics, Mechanical Technology, Software Technology, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • First Shift -Monday through Friday
  • Work overtime as needed to support production schedules
  • IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and IPC-7711/7721 certifications

Desired Qualifications

  • Soldering skills preferred
  • Ability to run tests to see why a computer is slow or crashing
  • Ability to fix systems: Reinstall or update Windows and system drivers
  • Ability to save data: Backup drives on a regular preventive maintenance schedule
  • Good problem-solving skills to trace strange error codes
