Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op to analyze workflow, design production aids, and implement Lean initiatives. Collaborate with engineering staff to capture production data, first pass yield, timing and safety results, and support continuous-improvement projects. Develop production layouts, tool redesign recommendations, and documentation for manufacturing methods; assist with maintenance, upgrades or replacement needs of tooling and production equipment; gain familiarity with lean manufacturing, quality control standards, and assembly processes. Strong CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and MS Office skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- Enrollment as Engineering or Engineering Technology student
- Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent command of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD (Solidworks and/or AutoCAD) and other computer programs
- Ability to independently move about factory and lift up to 50 pounds
