Job Summary
Construct and support detailed manufacturing plans for complex parts and assemblies, developing procedures, travelers, and step-by-step models to ensure successful execution. Perform mechanical design and calculations, structure BOMs and MOMs in the ERP system, and investigate solutions to difficult project challenges. Drive LEAN practices and cGMP standards while assisting with equipment pricing, supplier evaluations, and automation equipment debugging. Support Project Managers with technical expertise, communicate with customers, and deliver presentations. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, and proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of machine components, geometric tolerances, machining fabrication processes, machine controls and pneumatics
- Experience and/or knowledge of welding and fabrication
- Experience in an environment that fabricates custom equipment and industrial machinery
- Experience required in the Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
- Good communication skills are needed for conveying design specification, process details, and control strategies to potential clients and internal customers
- Must be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Proven experience working in a fast paced, high energy environment with the ability to multi-task and adjust to ever-changing priorities
- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical design
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing discipline is required
