Job Summary
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of processes and tooling for assembly automation. Create and maintain work instructions, tool lists, inspection guides, Control Plans, PFMEAs, and SFMEAs. Support new product introductions and continuous improvement efforts around people, quality, velocity, and cost. Drive Lean Manufacturing projects, 5S improvements, and creative problem-solving for operational issues including ergonomics, safety, efficiency, and quality. Monitor equipment reliability through root cause analysis and serve as the technical expert for the value stream. Work with internal and external suppliers to develop cost-effective systems while ensuring compliance with Caterpillar and OSHA standards. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience, with onsite five-day workweeks in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or closely related discipline
- Equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence of significant engineering and/or operational experience related to automation and manufacturing
- Technical expertise in the latest manufacturing technologies such as AI, automation, and robotics
- Hands-on experience with equipment setup, diagnostics, and optimization with the ability to develop and deploy RPA solutions
- Demonstrated ability to apply lean manufacturing tools and methodologies in a production environment
- Expertise in manufacturing safety related to automation
- Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods and technology
- Ability to execute, plan and manage the manufacturing assembly process
- Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience in evaluating options, predicting impact, and advising others
- On-site five days a week in the North Little Rock, Arkansas facility

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with 3D modeling programs (NX or Creo)
- Experience with automation of assembly processes
- Extensive knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers
- Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office 365 products
- Experience with SAP
- Ability to analyze and interpret various types of data to make informed decisions
