Job Summary
Robot weld programming and manufacturing engineering responsibilities include programming robot welds for various part numbers, inspecting and resolving defects in welded pieces, adhering to quality assurance policies to ensure parts meet instructions, and designing or maintaining manufacturing processes for welding metal components. The role requires expertise in robot programming languages, sensor integration, PLCs, and the ability to optimize welding paths, parameters, and robot movements. Key duties include developing, modifying, and executing arc welding programs (including program branching and subroutines), configuring payloads and tool frames, and ensuring precise weld quality with attention to torch angles, paths, and robot motion. A degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or similar) and proficiency in English are required; candidates should be prepared for 12-hour shifts and up to 5% travel, with domestic relocation not specified.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Similar
- Intermediate to Advanced English level is required
- Familiarity with robot programming languages (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa)
- Using a teach pendant to manually guide the robot through its movements and record welding paths
- Configuring robot payloads, tool and user frames, weld procedures, and other parameters
- Understanding of welding processes (TIG, MIG, arc welding) and robot control systems
