Job Summary

Manage master files and BoMs by defining Item Masters, Phantoms, Process Plans, and Job Plans, ensuring accurate ERP data alignment with material allocations and production planning. Drive process improvement through efficient material management and production scheduling workflows, optimizing routing for raw materials and subassemblies while applying Vendor-Managed Inventory and Kanban strategies. Manage change control by assessing engineering BoM impacts on production and inventory, proactively resolving material conflicts and delays. Analyze production performance by monitoring direct and indirect hours, rework rates, and job exceptions to identify bottlenecks and generate detailed reports using KPIs. Ensure safety and compliance with all company policies by reporting health and safety concerns and maintaining a safe work environment. This full-time, on-site role at the Scarborough manufacturing facility supports cross-functional teams in production, procurement, quality, and project management to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or a college diploma in a relevant technical discipline
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering, production planning, or materials management
  • Proficiency in using ERP tools to support master file maintenance, routing and BOM definitions, performance analysis, and plans
  • Detailed understanding of the company's policies and procedures for operational transactions and reporting
  • Proficiency with computer applications to support analysis and reporting requirements, including Microsoft Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and Macros
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies

Desired Qualifications

  • P.Eng
  • Experience in Make-to-Order manufacturing environments
  • Certifications such as APICS CPIM or a Supply Chain Management Certification
  • Experience interpreting CAD drawings and applying data analysis for process optimization
  • Experience with Power Query and BI tools
  • Familiarity with the business processes and practices used by discrete manufacturers with a make-to-order production policy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues to complete assigned project activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable collaborating across departments and presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Project management skills
