Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary
Conceive, investigate, and evaluate recommendations for new equipment, tooling, and processes to improve safety, reliability, and capacity while reducing costs. Develop aircraft fabrication, assembly, and installation work instructions by analyzing engineering drawings, tool designs, and process specifications. Perform root cause corrective actions and utilize systematic problem solving to identify and resolve issues driving cost and downtime reduction. Lead or participate in health, safety, environmental, production, material control, Sigma, and R&D project teams. Write weekly activity reports, develop action plans, and generate work instructions, test procedures, and documentation to support production operations. Evaluate engineering changes and determine appropriate labor or equipment standards to meet specification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10-12 years of experience
- Master's degree
- 8-10 years of experience
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner or develop alternative solutions
- Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office programs and Windows operating system
- Ability to thrive in a changing, fast-paced growing and dynamic business
- Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
