Job Summary
Design, procure, install, and commission new pharmaceutical processes and equipment while inspecting construction and operation. Provide subject matter expertise to maintenance teams and coordinate project startups with internal and external groups. Execute equipment qualification protocols, develop ACAD drawings, and review "As Built" documentation. Troubleshoot instrumentation during commissioning, support tradespeople, and assist maintenance with repairs and calibration. Process equipment improvements and research technical requirements for installation and operation. Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, and PHA activities while ensuring adherence to GXP, ISO, and regulatory standards. Manage project timelines and budgets to deliver projects on schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical preferred)
- 5+ experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar regulated environment
- Hands on experience with the starting up and commissioning instruments and process equipment
- Possesses financial acumen, understands business metrics, and how to impact results
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally
- Basic understanding of fire and building codes and applicable quality and regulatory standards
Desired Qualifications
- Six Sigma or Lean Certification
- PMP
- Red Seal trade or CET designation
- Ability to communicate effectively with departments and personnel
- Excellent computer skills; including Excel, Word, MS Project and AutoCAD
- Ability to anticipate issues and trends which could impact clients and projects
- Energetic team player but able to work effectively independently
- Ability to function effectively under ongoing pressure and flexibility to change
- Enthusiastic and willing to expand on responsibilities and professional abilities
- Project management experience
