Manufacturing Engineer – Aerospace (SAR Flowline)

Job Summary
Provide manufacturing engineering support to the SAR Flowline production area, investigating and resolving production issues while developing improved processes and work instructions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Ensure manufacturing processes comply with aerospace standards and customer requirements, supporting New Product Introduction and industrialisation activities. Liaise with cross-functional teams including Design, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to enhance productivity and throughput. This role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering and previous experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment. Security clearance may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting aerospace components, assemblies or production systems
- Understanding of aerospace quality requirements and manufacturing standards
- Manufacturing process development and improvement
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Production support and problem solving
- Technical drawing interpretation
- Non-conformance management
- Process control and continuous improvement
- Cross-functional stakeholder engagement
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience
- Security Clearance (or willingness to go through Security Clearance)
- Ability to complete Baseline Personnel Security Standard
Desired Qualifications
- AS9100 quality management systems
- APQP, PFMEA and Control Plans
- 8D and RCCA methodologies
- Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement tools
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
- Experience supporting aerospace flowlines, engine programmes or complex assemblies
