Job Summary
Respond to manufacturing issues and apply cross-functional problem-solving skills to identify solutions for new product development and test system design. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods regarding equipment, tooling, and materials while designing new processes for maximum efficiency. Ensure all operations comply with safety standards and consult with vendors to determine specifications and arrange material purchases. Investigate production breakdowns, repair equipment, and update assembly instructions to facilitate efficient production. Communicate with management and engineering staff regarding manufacturing capabilities and implement determined problem resolutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
- Experience in manufacturing engineering environment
- Experience using SolidWorks
- Able to provide technical leadership to production personnel
- Effective and frequent written and oral communication to technical team
- Balance workloads between various engineering projects and manufacturing demands
- Evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery
- Work with minimal supervision to support production and new product development needs
- Sitting/standing for long periods of time
