Job Summary
Lead manufacturing methods and techniques for defense platforms, focusing on mistake-proof processes balanced to takt time and ensuring design intent. Support test engineering, mission assurance, and metrology to select equipment, while defining tooling, processes, and routings in Costpoint ERP, Solumina MES, and Teamcenter. Provide guidance to assemblers and technicians, resolve assembly issues using 5 whys and 8D, and drive yield improvement through PFMEA and kaizens. Participate in Program Management Reviews and Change Control Boards to ensure on-time deliveries, with travel required 10% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- Current US Government DoW Secret security clearance
- US Citizenship
- Full-time, on-site employment in Northridge, CA location
- No remote/telework arrangement
- 10% travel time
- Bachelor of Science with 5 years in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
- Master's with 3 years in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
- 9 years of experience in lieu of a formal degree
- Experience with ERP/MES/ePLM
- Experience with work scheduling and maintaining execution of engineering activities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for coordinating with the government and internal team
- Experience with GD&T and familiarity with detail/assembly best practices
- Strong tool design experience

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Enterprise resource planning (ERP) / Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
- PWB fabrication and CCA assembly process experience
- Injection Molding process
- Understanding of and/or experience in additive manufacturing
- Test background (Test planning, execution, reporting, verification/validation)
- Creo, MCAD, Solumina MES and Costpoint ERP
- Experience with Agile and EVMS
- Experience with Yield Improvement Projects
- Lean Six Sigma certification
