Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer 2 shift—responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes and equipment to enable volume production of YASA products. Key duties include evaluating processes through research and vendor collaboration, relieving bottlenecks and solving production constraints, designing and testing manufacturing methods and equipment, improving workflow and layouts, assuring product and process quality with testing standards, calculating production labor and material costs, maintaining equipment per manufacturer instructions, coordinating maintenance and completing improvement projects, training technicians and operators, and contributing to team results. Desirable: engineering degree, automotive Tier 1 experience, and experience with kaizen and Six Sigma projects.
Required Qualifications
- Previous proven experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with continuous improvement methods
- Knowledge of FMEAs, Process Flows, Work Instructions, Control Plans
- Strong hands-on experience with tooling, automation
- Design for assembly and manufacturing constraints for high-volume production
